Welcome to Valley of Flowers

Valley of flowers was declared a national park in 1982, nestled in upper reaches of Garhwal region of Uttarakhand state. Valley of flowers is a much sought after resort for botanists, flowers lovers and trekkers. Valley is known for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and unprecedented natural beauty. Valley is bloomed with alpine flowers of different colours between June to August every year. Valley of flowers is now a world heritage site and home to numerous proclaimed flowers like Brahmakammal, Blue Poppy and Cobra Lily. It is believed to said that a Valley has been acknowledged by many mountaineers and botanists time to time for over the years. Area of Valley of flowers national park is spread over 87.50 sq km. It is also home to rare wild animals like snow leopard, musk deer, red fox, common langoor and blue sheep. It is an outstandingly beautiful valley lies in the west Himalaya and believed by the locals that it was inhabited by fairies.
